Whether you’re bikepacking, backpacking or just looking for a place to relax in the backyard, a Rallt hammock is definitely worth checking out.
We received a Rallt single hammock back in the spring and my son grabbed it out of my hot hands and took it on a weekend Scouts camping trip. He proceeded to use it on five weekend trips and ultimately used it on a week-long overnight camping trip.
Danny paired it with a sleeping bag on colder nights, and for the week long camp, used a tarp as a rainfly to keep the rain off of him.
He liked that the hammock was easily able to hold two kids. He liked using the ultralight straps & carabiners – especially that the straps were extra long, were easier on trees and, in combination with the carabiners, made it easier to put the hammock up and down.
He found the hammock very comfortable in general – on par with the Grand Trunk hammock that we’ve had for several years.
There were, however, a couple of issues.
The storage bag that is sewn to the hammock didn’t last very long. It came slightly unsewn after the first weekend, and by the time that he used it for his week long camp, it had come completely off.
Although that ultralight straps are sold separately and come in a different bag, he felt that it would have been nice for them attached bag to be sturdy enough and roomy enough to store the straps.
Overall, though, he found the Rallt hammock plenty comfortable for all night sleeping and plans to continue using it on his camping trips in the future.

Pros:
- Strong and comfortable enough for the largest user
- Ultralight straps protect trees and ease setup
- Very easy to set up and take down
- Straps held up well in rainy weather without stretching or slipping
- Lots of color options
Cons:
- Attached storage bag not very robust
- Storage bag not big enough for hammock, straps and ‘biners.
